SUMMARY: On April 19, 2004, the Board of Directors approved formation of a Legislative Committee comprised of Directors Edwards and Potter with an alternate to be designated by the Chair. The Legislative Committee is charged to coordinate with Senator Bruce McPherson and Assemblyman John Laird regarding SB1529 that would change governance of the District. The Chair has appointed Director Markey as the alternate to the Legislative Committee.

RECOMMENDATION: Ratify the appointment of Director Markey as the alternate for the Legislative Committee.
